About

I never really know how to describe myself without feeling vain and self absorbed, or unnaturally safe degrading, so this will be a lesson in how I can describe myself without feeling or doing either of the above.

First and foremost my name is Nomsa and I am 19 (at the time of writing this but that should change yearly, sorry, blame the laws of society.) I live in a country at the tip of Africa called (and fittingly so,) South Africa. In said country I live with my family whom I love dearly and who love me dearly, at least I hope.

I am an only child, to which people often reply: “what?! I would never have guessed you don’t act like an only child.” To be honest I have no idea how an “only child” usually acts because apparently I don’t act like one. I guess it’s because I have always had a million and one cousins and I spent 5 years in boarding school which was an absolutely amazing experience.

Now that we have got all the logistics out of the way, let’s speak about all the interesting things:

My favourite… just kidding, this isn’t going to be one of those “my favourite animal is” things, although while we’re on the subject my favourite animals happen to be Killer whales. But, I digress. What was I saying? Interesting things: Yes, my dream is to one day become a writer and or a director of feature films. I realise that it is a big dream, but I guess it’s a great way to ensure that I am working as hard as possible on all the things I do from here until then.

I am an officially certified gap year taker which means that I survived a year of being what some may refer to as a vagabond... Ok, I'm exaggerating it wasn't quite that drastic. But I am now a university student (soon to be) and I hope to be for the next for years to obtain a BA in film and television.

I am sure that there are other things that I could put on this page but I won’t because that requires me to actually use my brain and I can only do so much of that already so, if you have any questions I will have a questions page (once I figure out how to do that.)

Side note: even though this blog was designed for my gap year, I think that I may keep it afterwards and just change the url.
